TV Gotel is a regional television channel based in Yola, Adamawa State. The channel will soon be on a national

footprint across Nigeria. The channel offers viewers a unique perspective of life from North Eastern Nigeria, with content ranging from news, documentary, current affairs and cultural programming.

We seek exceptional individuals to fill the following vacant positions:

Executive Producers

• Executive Production of news bulletins/content on a daily basis;


• Management of news output teams, editorial control and content quality;


• Final on-air product;


• Mentoring and training of news staff.

Requirements
Candidates must have:

• A tertiary qualification (Degree or Diploma).


• Excellent command of the English language and strong writing skills.


• At least 5 years previous experience in a television newsroom.


• Experience of newsroom workflow and production environments.

Senior Producers

• Production of news bulletins/content on a daily basis;


• Quality of news output;


• Completion of bulletins before deadlines;


• Maintaining editorial control and independence.

Requirements
Candidates must have:

• A tertiary qualification (Degree or diploma);


• Excellent command of the English language and ability to write polished scripts within tight deadlines


• Previous experience in a daily television news production environment;


• Experience in use of news production software and hardware.

TV Programme Producers

• Production of field inserts, weekly programmes and/or monthly shows;


• Traveling to locations to produce television content;


• Completing productions on time and within budgets allocated;


• Maintaining quality and production discipline.

Requirements
Candidates must have:

• A keen interest in great stories from across Nigeria;


• Scripting and production skills that captivate audiences;


• At least 3 years previous experience in television field and studio production;


• Experience in use & high-quality production cameras and editing.

Television Directors

• Directing live and taped studio production while leading operations crews:


• Execution and quality of all technical aspects of studio and live production, including but not limited to final lighting, audio, graphics, on-screen shots, and show timing;


• Providing critical input on the look and feel of shows and working closely with executive producers talent and programme directors to executive top quality shows;


• Working closely with technical operations to help define effective workflows and standard operating procedures for production needs;


• Contributing technical input to rundowns, scripts, and any needed preparations;


• Recording regular, detailed notes on production and critical input on operations.

Requirements
Candidates must have:

• Experience directing live and taped studio production for broadcast


• Experience with NRCS-based production workflow and accurate show timing


• Knowledge of operational positions, roles, and needs.


• Proven ability to work under very tight deadlines, high pressure work environment and to deliver programming to accurate time.

Videographers

• Creating professional news packages for an international audience;


• Transports, sets up, and operates various production equipment including cameras; audio and video recorders, lighting equipment, grope, and microphones for location and studio production;


• Operates and maintains proper levels and calibration of cameras, audio and video recorders, and other production equipment;


• Collects b-roll footage and interviews.

Requirements
Candidates must have:

• A minimum of three years experience in broadcast news, film or documentary production.


• Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects across formats and meet deadlines


• Experience with Sony EX3, FS7, FS700, and Canon C100 camera platforms.


• Proficiency in shooting video, sound gathering and lighting techniques.


• Expertise in audio and video editing software preferably Adobe Premiere Pro.
