NYSC Orientation Course for 2015 Batch ‘B’ is OUT

The NYSC scheme was created in a bid to reconstruct, reconcile and rebuild the country after the Nigerian Civil war. The unfortunate antecedents in our national history gave impetus to the establishment of the National Youth Service Corps by decree No.24 of 22nd May 1973 which stated that the NYSC is being established “with a view to the proper encouragement and development of common ties among the youths of Nigeria and the promotion of national unity”.
The National Youth Service Corps Year comprises of four (4) main segments in which every Corps Members must satisfactorily participate before he/she is qualified to be issued a certificate of National Service. The service year therefore comprises of:
- Orientation Courses
- Primary Assignment
- Community Development Service
- Winding – Up/Passing – out
All SAOs, NYSC State Secretariats and the general public are hereby informed that the 2015 Batch ‘B’ Orientation Course is out.
NYSC 2015 Batch ‘B’ Orientation Course
This is to inform the general public and in particular, all prospective corps members that the NYSC 2015 Batch ‘B’ Orientation Course will commence in all NYSC Orientation camps, nationwide.
- Commencement of Registration: Wednesday, 28th October, 2015
- Cut-off date for Registration: 12:00 midnight Thursday 29th October, 2015
- Swearing-in Ceremony: Friday 30th October, 2015
- Closing Ceremony: Monday 16th October, 2015.
Those posted to Adamawa, Borno, Gombe and Yobe will be hosted in Stream 2 inTaraba, Katsina, Kaduna Jigawa respectively and their Orientation programme will commence on the date and camp venues indicated in their call-up letter – i.e. 25th November – 14th December, 2015.
Corps members are to register with either Call-up Letters printed online or Original Call-up Letters collected from their Schools as well as original Copy of Statement of Result
All Prospective corps members slated for the 2015 Batch ‘B’ orientation course are advised to proceed to their respective camps as stated on their call-up letters. Foreign-Trained graduates are to report to the camp with their travelling Passport for identification as well as their Certificates and Transcript for which they uploaded during registration for verification.
These affected corps members are advised to note the camp venue as reflected on their call-up letters to avoid confusion. In the event of any loss of call-up letter, corps members who collected their call up letters from their schools are advised to obtain Police report and Sworn Affidavit, thereafter, report to the Institution of graduation for further necessary action.
For those who initially printed their call up letters on line can print the call up letters as many times as they want in the case of loss.
Requirements for Registration
- Original Call-up Letter or Call-up Letter printed on-line
- Statement of result endorsed by authorized officer with authentic signature
- School Identity Card, including travelling Passport for foreign-trained graduates.
- Medical Doctors, Pharmacists and Optometrists are to produce evidence of completion of housemanship/internship as well as evidence of registration with their Professional Bodies.
