Achieving Health Nigeria Initiative (AHNi) is a non-profit organization that promotes socio-economic development by


supporting global health and economic initiatives in Nigeria. It was established as an affiliate of the Family Health International (FHI360) to sustain FHI’s achievements in strengthening indigenous organizational capacity in Nigeria.

AHNi currently has its headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria. To strengthen our operations in the country, we are seeking qualified candidates for the following vacant positions below:





Senior Program Officer



 



Job Description 
The Senior Program Officer she/he provides technical assistance to the State Ministry of Health (State Malaria Elimination Program team), Local Government Authorities (LGA), Civil Society Organizations and partners implementing Malaria activities at state level to develop plans, design and implement Malaria interventions with defined deliverables.

Job Requirements


  • BS/BA in Public Health, Business Administration, Health Sciences, Behavioral Sciences or its recognized equivalent with 7 – 9 years of relevant experience with international development programs.

  • Or MS/MA degree in public health, business administration, health sciences, behavior at sciences or its recognized equivalent with 5-7 years relevant experience with international development programs.

  • Demonstrated success in multicultural environments is required.

  • Experience with large complex organization is required, familiarity with international NGOs preferred.


State Program Coordinator



 



Job Description


  • The State Program Coordinator Reporting to the Project Director, the State Program Coordinator will in collaboration with Senior Program Officer oversee the assigned States level activities of the Malaria Project.

  • In this regard S/he shall provide leadership for the Stat Malaria team and coordinate the activities across all program thematic areas in the assigned States.


Job Requirements


  • Medical degree and postgraduate qualification in international health or related discipline

  • Minimum often (10) years’ experience in malaria control in Africa, including some at international level.

  • Prior experience working for an international NGO strongly preferred.

  • Experience and good working knowledge of USAID & Global Fund and other US Government organizations’ rules and regulations required.

  • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health system and NGOs and GBOs will be an added advantage


Compliance Officer



 



Job Description


  • The Compliance Officer will work effectively with the Senior Compliance Officer to review and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of operations, adequacy of internal controls, reliability of financial reporting, compliance with applicable laws and the safeguard of assets within AHNi Nigeria’s policy framework.


Job Requirements


  • BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance and Business Administration or its recognized equivalent, and 3- 5 years relevant experience.

  • Or M MA degree in Accounting Finance and Business Administration or its recognized equivalent, and 1 -3 years relevant experience.

  • 1-3 years’ experience in internal control functions.

  • Familiarity with U.S. Government grants or other client funded programs, contracting and auditing standards as they apply to effective management of multi-year funds is required.

  • CPA, ACA, ICAN, CIMA, CFE or any other relevant professional qualification is an advantage

  • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health system and NGOs and CBOs will be an added advantage


Technical Officer – M&E

Job Description


  • The Technical Officer-M&E will under the supervision of the M&E Manager and relevant technical leads will be responsible for the implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities for the state offices working with others in the state office and local implementing partners to ensure that state monitoring and evaluation activities are appropriate and meet the donor and project’s M&E needs.


Minimum Recruitment Standards


  • MB.BS/MD/PHD or similar degree with 1 to 3 years relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation with a sound understanding of Malaria interventions with provision of care, treatment and preventions in resource constrained settings.

  • Or MPH or MSMA in relevant degree with 3 to 5 years relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation with a hound understanding of Malaria interventions with provision of care, treatment and preventions in resource constrained settings.

  • Or BS/BA in Statistics, Pharmacy, Microbiology, Monitoring and Evaluation or in relevant degree with 5 to 7 years relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation with a sound understanding.

  • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health systems and NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable.


Assistant Technical Officer – M&E



 



Job Description


  • The Assistant Technical Officer-M&E will work with State office and local partners to support the correct implementation and use of monitoring and evaluation tools, and adherence to complete, correct and timely reporting.


Minimum Recruitment Standards


  • A Degree or equivalent in Sciences or Arts.

  • At least 4 years experience in M & E related activities.

  • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health system and NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable.
