PROJECT ACCOUNTS OFFICER
Location: Ibadan
Recruitment Type: (2-year renewable Contract)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Successful candidate will among other things perform the following duties:
Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts;
Develop, maintain and analyse budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted cost to actual costs.
Develop, implement, modify and document record keeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology including Quick books.
Prepare, examine and analyse accounting records, financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
Monitor project funds and advice project officer on variances and trends.
Prepare financial reports and forecast costs for budgeting annually.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Perform other duties assigned by your supervisor.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
B.Sc/HND in Accounting, Corporate Finance, Banking or related field with 5 years’ experience performing similar role.
Possession of ICAN is an added advantage.

EVENTS AND PARTNERSHIP ASSISTANT
POSITION/RESPONSIBILITIES
Successful candidate will among other things perform the following duties:
Support the development and maintenance of good working relationship with the media (Radio and Television);
Facilitate and support communication among partners, extension agents in targets and spill over states;
Facilitate and organize training for key players along vitamin A Cassava Value Chain;
Conceive, plan and produce events such as field days exhibition, workshop, seminars, product launches etc. to meet HarvestPlus set objectives;
Liaise with partners/institution to ensure HarvestPlus brand and standards are respected in all events;
Ensure HarvestPlus is represented in relevant events as a means of promoting, showcasing and sharing innovation along vitamin A Cassava Value Chain;
Identify and follow-up partnership, group, institutions and companies needed to scale out HarvestPlus activities;
Provide support to the country manager on advocacy issues;
Collect, collate and provide relevant data on activities engage in;
Perform any other duties as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
OND in Mass Communication or related field with minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related field.

MARKETING OFFICER
POSITION/RESPONSIBILITIES
Successful candidate will among other things perform the following duties:
Identify and analyses Bio fortification strength and weakness and respond to opportunities and threat in the marketing environment;
Set goals for market share and growth;
Develop and implement appropriate strategies by selecting, segmenting and targeting markets and promoting biofortified foods and seeds to those markets;
Provide leadership on branding and packaging of products;
Works on developing new products for niche market;
Managing distribution channels of biofortified foods in villages and urban market;
Develop plans for advertising, sales promotion and public relations;
Create and develop new innovative ways to communicate for increased adoption of vitamin A cassava by farmers, processor, marketers and consumer;
Develop standard for product and profitability analysis for investor.
Maintain liaison with Federal, State and NGO partners in Nigeria;
Identify opportunities for fund raising and assist in applying for grants for business development and establishment;
Conduct and oversee advocacy for business development and promotional campaign;
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Country Manager.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
BSc/HND/PGD in Marketing, Economics, Agricultural Economics or any related field with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in related field.

RESEARCH TECHNICIAN (POST HARVEST)
Successful candidate will among other things perform the following duties:
Assist in processing and store high quality vitamin A cassava and maize;
Provide clerical and office support to field staff and HarvestPlus project;
Develop, test and commercialize new vitamin A cassava products for household and commercial use;
Provide assistance to the postharvest officer to ensure standardization of products processing and packaging;
Support the establishment of vitamin A cassava points of sale across Nigeria to increase consumers access;
Support training of caterers and investors on processing and value addition;
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
OND in Food Science and Technology or related field with minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related field.

RESEARCH SUPERVISOR (POST HARVEST)
POSITION/RESPONSIBILITIES
Successful candidate will among other things perform the following duties:
Assist in processing beta-carotone cassava into vitamin A rich gari, fufu and flour;
Evaluate the effect of the environment and storage time on vitamin A retention in gari, fufu and flour;
Test different packaging materials to reduce loss of vitamin A in gari, fufu and flour;
Train Household on best processing practices for high quality gari, fufu and flour;
Train household on best-bet processing practices for high quality gari, fufu and flour;
Facilitate and train caterers on enterprise development using vitamin A cassava;
Support the establishment of vitamin A cassava point of sale across Nigeria to increase consumers access;
Develop, test and commer…e new vitamin A cassava products for household consumption and commercial use;
Standardize processing and packaging of vitamin A cassava products with investors to ensure qualityand uniformity across board;
Provide technical support to investors on processing and value addition;
Collect collate and provide relevant data on activities engaged;
Perform any other duty as may be assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
BSc/HND in Human Nutrition, Food Technology or related field with minimum of 2 years’ experience in related field.
